I did a PhD in social studies, a postdoc in the critical theory of entrepreneurship, and started another PhD in comparative literature, researching Beckett, Borges, and Céline through Lacanian psychoanalysis. I abandoned it when I understood that those investigations had to become films and books — not more theses.
Since then I’ve published three books, directed short films selected at international festivals, and I’m developing my first feature. I’ve also published academic articles in SCOPUS journals that cross psychoanalysis with technology and contemporary culture. Everything I do comes from the same place: Tropical Psychotic Postexistentialism — a framework where existential crisis, ordinary psychosis, and tropical sensibility meet the technological alienation of the present.
I founded Rumbo a Peor Films in Barcelona. I make films, I write, and I think. Sometimes all three at once. And not always in the best way.
